Session News #7: Return-to-work bill moves to the full House, COLA bill rejected

The House retirement committee today favorably reported House Bill 43 (Rep. LeBas) to the full House for consideration. This legislation would increase the earnings limit from 25% to 50% of the retirement benefit for a TRSL retiree who returns to work as a substitute classroom teacher. The full House today passed House Bill 10 (Rep. Pearson). The legislation would allow TRSL members to purchase service credit for out-of-state, private school teaching service.
