Yesterday afternoon Gov. John Bel Edwards signed HB 32 (Rep. Jones). House Bill 32 grants a 1.5% benefit increase to eligible TRSL retirees and beneficiaries, effective July 1, 2016. The governor’s signature today affirms the COLA authorized by Act 93, and does not provide for an additional COLA.
